Dr. Engeberg's BioRobotics Lab at FAU investigates robotics, prosthetics, controller design, bioinspiration, and biomimetics, with the goal of improving the quality of life for people with disabilities and society. Recently, his lab developed a first-of-its-kind robotic glove which uses AI to improve its dexterity.

Dr. Sklivanitis works on a range of AI-related research, including 1) data curation techniques to address faulty labels and/or adversarial attacks during training of AI models; and 2) distributed collaborative (federated) learning techniques to monitor the electromagnetic spectrum with the objective to a) ID radio devices through the process of fingerprinting and b) classify signal modulations and protocols to enable dynamic spectrum sharing operations.
